Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

And look! Its wings have grown, and it’s become rather vicious and wary of others of its kind.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Abandoned as an egg, Hadese knows neither of his parents' names. Because of this he is very distrusting of others. One day while caring for him, Hadese bit Ryoko and made her lose quite a bit of blood. This angered Reinir Nyxnei, causing him to attack the hatchling in a fit of rage. When he came to his senses, Reinir saw the human bent over the hatchling with a now mangled wing. Ryoko used all the healing magic she knew of to help heal Hadese's wing and dull the pain. Guilty and saddened by his cries of pain, Reinier helped out in any way he could. When Hadese was out of danger, Ryoko collapsed from relief as Bellevei Draugyen came over to the hatchling. Hadese was devastated when Bellevei told him he would probably never grow to be an adult because of all the different magic Ryoko used to save him. Ever since then, Hadese and Bellevei have been close because of their likenesses. Hadese has also started to trust Ryoko more.
