Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moonstar is a part of the LeValle clan of dragons, which originally started out as a small family.

Moonstar was an orphan dragon who, at a young age, had lost all his memory. He completely forgot all of his history, including his family lineage.

He somehow survived long enough to meet a kind couple of a Seasonal dragon and a Daydream dragon who'd taken pity on the hatchling and adopted him as their son.

Eventually, Moonstar met a female Albino hatchling who'd had a similar past to his, and he automatically fell in love with her- though these feelings weren't revealed until later on in their lifetime.

He begged his adoptive parents to let the Albino hatchling -named Peachshadow- stick around. They agreed, and they formed a sort of pack.

Over time, more dragons began to join that pack and it grew and grew to a be a clan.

Now Moonstar has two children, Starshadow and Peachstar whom he had with Peachshadow.
