Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. When Yawnbreath was named, it was her clanmates who did the naming, since the last time that an outsider named a hatchling caused much angst for the name's recipient. When mlmiii, the clan's dragon tamer, finally recovered from yet another fever, he took Yawnbreath to a town festival. He quickly regretted it, because the locals had crazy superstitions about yawning and thought that Yawnbreath was trying to steal their soul. She's not miffed about this anymore, though, and has become more energetic over the years. She's been known to stay up for days on end with slight magical assistance, and ever since she's been a bit jumpy and has mood swings once in a while.
