Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Armored Protector is a very serious individual. True to a Guardian Dragon's nature, he watches over the eggs and hatchlings of his scroll writer's cave. However, he takes his duty far beyond any known Guardian Dragon. He has been known to stay awake for nights on end, patrolling the outside cave and watching over the eggs and young dragons. Everyone knows he would be more than willing to lay his life down for the protection of the young ones. He does not play with the other dragons, nor does he engage in many conversations, and he never smiles. This has caused many of his cave mates to question what has caused him to be so safeguarding and severe. Some speculate he had a traumatic past, while others simply say he isn't quite right in the head. Despite being the subject of such mockery, he remains passive. Every night he lays awake at the cave entrance, watching over the sleeping hatchlings and eggs. The hatchlings always sleep well, knowing that they are safe and unthreatened.
