Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Everyone knows about the great dancing flamingos of Herktopia. They form their own troupes, pray to the Great Flamingo God, the God of Dancing and Descriptions, and focus their time on making their dances better. The Description Dancing Troupe' spends their days traveling and dancing and gifting those who follow the holy act of reviewing descriptions. Secretly Dancing the Ninja Dance is now carrying a basket containing such a gift. As he dances away they shout, "Remember slashes don't show!"
