Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dealan's parents were feared by all. The golden dragons would come with the rising sun behind them, blinding their human enemies and slaying them if they tried to fight off the plundering dragons. A truly magnificent hoard they collected, but all that gold hidden in their cave wouldn't move their hearts as much as their son, Dealan.

But after years of terror the humans decided to get rid of them once and for all, and in the deep of night they stole within the cave, attacking the sleeping dragons. In her attempt to flee, Dealan's mother managed to hide him far from the cave. For hours he waited for his parents to return. Night came, night went. Day came, day went. Night came, night went once more. In the morning, Dealan no longer awaited their return, cold and weakened though he was he went in search for his parents, but didn't find them. Someone else found him, though. A human. But not an evil human; she took pity, and has been trying to amend the harm people had done him ever since.
