Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

If there was ever a dragon to end up on Santa's naughty list it would have to be December Bane. He's constantly causing avalanches around the north pole, flying low and fast over the reindeer to startle them and tries to steal the wrapping paper that he thinks is neat enough to decorate his cave with.

He always gets coal for Christmas, but is happy with it because it means he can make his cave warmer. Bane doesn't like to play fair especially when some of the elves try to throw snowballs at him. When that happens he mostly just growls and kicks up a cloud of snow at them, but he'd never hurt them. Despite his bad behavior Bane isn't a Grinch.
