Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Though not nearly the eldest of the group, Royaute is the leader of it. Many of the female dragons in the group were flirting with him, but there was one who was shy, a Two-Finned Bluna named Daburufin. One late night, when everyone was asleep, Royaute noticed that Daburufin was sitting up, awake, looking lonely. Royaute walked over to her, but Daburufin just looked away, and blushed. Later, that morning, Royaute and Daburufin were staying close to each other, deeply in love. They eventually had a child, but Pikadex had too many eggs, so he had to abandon the child. This happened late at night, so when the couple found their child missing, they looked around constantly, and eventually gave up. Royaute is a strong and proud leader, but his soft spot is easily Daburufin.
