Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Slow and ponderous, Nacho Melt is a troubled creature... or cheese.
He constantly must question his strange desires to eat himself. He debates if that would be considered cannibalism, or suicide. He asks himself WHY he has these feelings.
Other dragons avoid him due to his smell, and sandwich-makers are constantly chasing him about with knives. All these woes have led him to live a life of seclusion, where he ponders the mystery to his main question and more. Monks are fond of him--or rather, fondue.
