Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Considered an obnoxious hermit even by other Dark Green dragons, this grouch set up house next to a particularly large tree that could not be knocked over. He begrudgingly accepted its existence and settled underneath it, where he passive-aggressively chewed on its roots.
This arrangement was almost acceptable, and life was sort-of okay, but then a smarmy fool built a hut just out of reach of the dragons vines. Seeking to gain the favor of his new neighbor, the village idiot attempted to befriend the dragon by throwing food and shiny gems into the dragon's patch of dirt. Despite giving to the dragon on a daily basis, the idiot has had no luck. The Taking Tree has no friends.
The dragon greedily takes everything he's offered but refuses to give the human the time of day, promising that he will stop wanting to kill him if he's given enough stuff. Naturally, this is a lie. The dragon spends most of his time glaring from afar and trying to stretch his vines out far enough to grab the idiot.
