Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The barren ashfields that surround active volcanoes are hardly comfortable places for life, and yet life survives there all the same; a rugged, brutal, harsh sort of life, one where weakness is folly and no pity exists for those left behind. Thus it is that when disaster claims the life of a mother, the young struggle on even knowing they have no hope of salvation, baring their teeth and claws at the scavengers who arrive to make meals of them. Yet for some, the first shadow of wings that falls over them brings not death, but joy.

Vuldrim is her name and mothering's her game, the well aged matriarch leading a small but hardy flock of coppers in protecting and sheltering as many of the region's orphans as they can find. The vicious little monsters she rescues often give no word of gratitude, but after years spent under her warm protection, the loyalty and love in their hearts manages to shine through even the grumpiest of their faces.
