Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Illiya has taken a vow of silence. Not the traditional kind of vow, where she maintains an absolute lack of sound; she just can't say words. Growling, hissing, roaring, whimpering, sobbing, and various other sounds are okay. But if they form words, that's when the trouble starts.

It's not a curse, not really, but a rogue dragon known as 'Zanar' gave her an... ability. One wrong word and something horrible happens. Whomsoever forces her to utter the Word for their own use will show up dead the next day, horribly mangled and only recognizable because of the completely untouched head.

Of course, some say that the rogue fell for her and that he's been secretly stalking her ever since.
