Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The 48th dragon of the clan, Hiding Midnight grew up with Summer Fruits and Soft Pond. The threesome played together a lot when they were younger. Unfortunately, Soft Pond's reliance to the water made her unable to leave it for too long. Although they still gather and talk together on a regular basis, all three of them had gone different ways. Hiding Midnight has joined the part of the clan that is nocturnal, Summer Fruits stays with the other seasonal dragons.

Hiding Midnight is happy to stay with the nocturnal part of the clan, he prowls the forest at night, catching prey for the clan. He hunts but isn't cruel- a quick death for all prey. He has a hunting partner- Silent Midnight, together they can catch a lot more in one night than some can provide in a month (but they only hunt the animals in excess- never to extinction). He is very content with his life and wishes that this can be always what it would be like.
