Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ginban is the result of a brief fling that Ginzan and Netsuai had. Both were attracted by the beauty of the other, but they didn't find true love. When Ginban's egg arrived, his parents thought that they'd try to make things work for their baby's sake. That lasted until a few months after Ginban had hatched. Things got more and more stressful, and finally Netsuai and Ginzan decided that it would be better for their son if they broke things off, and just focused on making him happy. This worked much better. Ginban has grown into a strong and curious dragon. He prefers to spend his time looking for beautiful new plants to add to his greenhouse (a beautiful contraption made of glass that he blew himself). He met his mate, Hari, when they both happened to be exploring the Devil's Drop Caverns. They hit it off right away. They began courting soon after, and are so happy together. Their love is eternal, and they are truly happy together. They both feel so lucky to have one another.
