Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The light of the full moon shines brightly. Not bright enough to reveal the creatures of the dark, it's bright enough to walk and not trip. In a patch of moon-gleaming clover crouches MoonThorn. He tilts his head, listening to the night. His sharpened claws tugs at the lush grass, his body itching with anticipation and excitement. Suddenly, the bushes to his right rustles softly. Without warning except for the tensing of his muscles, he attacks. In one second, it was over. MoonThorn stands up with a fat dead rabbit dangling from his jaws. With a satisfied huff, he pads over to another black dragon just like him in the grass a few meters away. Dropping the rabbit dead at her claws, he sits down before her, a nervous blush on his face. The she-dragon, SilentNyght, gives the rabbit a nudge before turning back to MoonThorn. She gives him a thank-you nuzzle, then to feast on the rabbit. MoonThorn stares at SilentNyght with pure adoration and love.
