White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zahrain hails from a faraway clan. When he was a newborn hatchling he was taken in by the kindly Desuria, who was hardly more than a hatchling herself at that time. He was very shy at first, but quickly grew accustomed to his new clan, and eventually grew quite happy with his life.

Unlike the other white dragons in the clan, Zahrain felt attracted to Tesi, guard of the sunset. Zahrain became a temporary helper in the hatcheries after Tesi presented him with a shining white egg.

Because of his experience with the outside world, Zahrain received the job of teaching the newborn hatchlings of the world beyond the edge of the cave. He is careful to make sure the hatchlings stay safe during their little adventures, and he heals them quickly should they slip and fall.

He is happy with his life, but now and again wonders what the wilderness is like. He is sometimes seen sitting on a high ledge, gazing at the wild dragons roaring in the distance.
