Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Blooko is not really alive at all, being a cheese dragon, and accepted this early in its "life." It has no real mind, or really any desire to do anything; likewise, it can't feel emotion, or even feel at all. Most other dragons feel sorry for it because of this, but Blooko doesn't care; it's never known anything different. Sometimes it'll wander the cave (it can't go out into the sun for the risk of drying out) seeking moister regions, even talking to others, though the conversations are uncomfortable to the other dragons and end up being short; but mostly it'll just sit in the corner, a blank smile on its face, staring at nothing, doing nothing.
