Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling is hard to see, but in the sunlight it displays brilliant colors.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This dragon is a small Sunsong. He is forever young, keeping the dragons of his cave healthy. There is only 1 youth dragon for each type in the clan, and are extremely rare. This dragon is at a loss of a name, so the clan dragons just call him egg. He is very very curious, wanting to know everything. He will have LOTS of time to do that. "Egg" always wants to out of the cave, but Ziscara, the clan leader, says he's not allowed to. Ziscara only says that to make herself seen regal and protecting, but late at night, Ziscara takes "egg" on fish catching trips.
