Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means 'Strong Dreams'.

Mainly living among the clouds, Somnia watches dragons come and go below her, and on occasion, she likes to cause mischief when boredom sets in. Noticing a group of five weary dragons, Somnia decided it was the perfect chance for some fun. Quietly hovering over the group, she quickly cast a dream cloud over them and flew away. The dragons went to sleep for 100 years! Once the cloud dissipated the dragons blearily got to their feet. Stiff beyond imagining and covered in dirt, they wondered what happened. Luna looked over and saw that Little Wing wasn't moving. Catching a glimpse of Somnia, they realized what happened. Angry, the dragons went after her, but before they could catch up to her, they found a dragon in distress...
