Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There are tales the villagers tell, of terrible, strange creature that walk the earth. On one cold night, the moon grows full and the voices of the dead can be heard in the wind. No one dares to go out in the dark, despite the bright moon that hangs high among the stars. It is said that some eggs laid on this night are born dead, yet when the moon rises, so do they and even one egg was biten by... a strange magical creature... Rustlings in walls may be the only warning you receive of his presence, before bright red eyes glint out at you from the shadows...Congregation of the Damned is a vampire...He is not as other dragons: he is frightening to behold, with flesh sloughing off his bones, he cannot die, and are extremely strong, cunning and sly. No one knows how he came into existence: there are varying opinions on the matter. Some believe it was evil magi meddling with the balance of magic, but most think he is the spirit of the dead dragon, trying to grasp what little life he can.
