Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hearts Bryar, true to her name, is one of the pricklier of her kind within the clan. Bryar has a good heart and has shown kindness to others, but her feelings are easily injured so not many dragons ever get to see her softer side. She is prone to histrionics, but her older sister Desyre often manages to calm her down before she reaches fever pitch. However, when Desyre is too busy mending hearts to soothe Bryar's, the results can be explosive (and often are). Ever since a particularly disastrous incident involving some sulfur Vesta had been carrying, Bryar prefers to stay well away from the forge, or any other sensitive area of the main clan cave.
