Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Like many members of the Vocaloid Clan of singing dragons, Dr Realist is a dragon which could only be called eccentric at best and insane at worst. This imposing Alternative Black Dragon has become obsessed with the human custom of theatre; he simply does not understand why humans would want to spin a web of lies and fantasies, refusing to face the truth, when they could be practising science or studying history. He has made it his personal mission to convince the humans in the villages that he observes to cast aside their delusions and live in reality. Unfortunately, the villagers are usually either too scared of him to listen or too set in their ways—and unwilling to give up their fine tradition of holding plays—to take any notice of what he tells them, and his frustration has lead to him simply killing the actors and destroying the stage on more than one occasion. Despite this, he remains convinced that theatre is a great evil which he is performing a service in eradicating.
