Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Nearly three years ago to the date of this hatchling's birth, two black eggs were laid in Draketeeth's cave. This was back when alts were known by the egg color, but being a new scroll owner, Drake could not tell the difference between regular and alt. Both black eggs went to the abandoned area. Lo and behold, both were alts. Drake never got over the loss of the sitting hatchlings, knowing they could have grown up into fine adults in her cave and did not.

When Scroll Master's egg was laid there were high hopes that after all these years a sitting black would finally be born again. When the little dragon poked its nose from the egg a celebration like none other was held in honor of the little hatchling. It was frozen and will forever sit at the front of the cave so visitors can admire it and give it treats.
