Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kalo is a solitary and grouchy dragon. He spends his days doing nothing special. He hates young dragons and happy-go-luck dragons. Kalo does not want a mate, but all he wants is for others to obey him. He sometimes commands dragons to get him food, or he would scare them with his powerful jaws.

But one day, this pretty dragoness came to see him. He usually never liked visitors but this one was special. Yugana was VERY kind with him. Kalo never felt so loved before! So, he had a egg with this kind soul. But then, his family was not so pleased. Because in the rules in his kingdom, he could not have a child with White dragons, just like Yugana! So, he quit his kingdom, becoming a stranger to the place and NEVER coming back. Because he was happy with his REAL familly.
