Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very playful and likes to be around other dragons.

And look! It has grown wings, and its throat has turned red with small speckles on it. It must be close to maturing!

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Asobigokoro no hina loves her home in the field as the base of the mountain. The mountain is so powerful even though it just sits on the earth like a sleeping dragon. Sometimes she ventures a little to close to the mountain, further than she should anyway and gets herself into trouble when she is just trying to play. One of her favorite creatures to play with are the many field mice that live in the tall grass near where her community roosts. She chases the squeaking little creatures about until they dash into their little holes where she can't reach them.

Her name means 'Playful Hatchling'.
