Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The young heirs of Graystone Castle loved their play with the dragon Lyneue Gray.  However such play would always end with Lyneue quietly vanishing into the ancient caverns below the castle.  It was on one of these occasions, one heir dared another as children often do, sending the eldest into the dark to follow Lyneue.  Caverns are not a safe place to play and when night came, nervous children admitted to their father where their sibling was last seen.  Immediately the king called upon the dragons to search. The child was found, having fallen into a deep chamber.  Not bothered in the least by  his fall, proudly he held his prize, a rather large green and orange egg.  Nevertheless, Padraigin Gray healed the child's scrapes and bruises with her healing magic.  Days later the egg hatched and Faileen Gray became a part of the Kingdom.  Quiet now lest she ruffles her frills or scampers away to hide.
