Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Dune is a noble and loyal dragon. He was raised by a human who saw beauty in a hatchling that lacked any beautiful qualities. Others had passed by the lonely hatchling, saying it looked like an ugly pile of rocks, but Dune's beloved caretaker quickly approached him and insisted he come with her. It took many years for Dune to warm up to the human, but as he grew he found himself assisting the human whenever there was an opportunity. He once declared that he would always be there to protect her, no matter what that might mean. Over time he began to grow slow, the nature of his breed compelling him to find a permanent place to rest. Naturally, the only place for him was near his human. Dune now lives at the base of a mountain that overlooks his owner's house. His owner, who is as loyal to him as he is to her, will often have her other dragon's bring him tasty mineral-filled rocks to eat.
