Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There's a stereotype that all pinks are gorgeous, sensual creatures. Their main talent, breeding, has been typecast since the dawn of time.

Iylana does not fit this beautiful, doe eyed model.

She's not exactly the ugliest dragon in the clan, but she's definitely not too easy on the eyes. She's fragile, often falling ill or breaking bones doing the stupidest things. Her scales are flaky and discolored.

Personality wise, she's meek and bland. She is also soft spoken and eager to fall in line with all the others.

Iylana would not be worth noting if not for her one exceptional trait. She has an odd connection with animals, able to convince them to do anything she wishes, even leave Samaira alone.

Hence the marrow is often seen in Iylana's company. Iylana's gift with animals has been her savior. She is given a chance to be useful and a best friend. Okay, so maybe Samaira uses her a lot, but still. It's more of a shake than Iylana ever expected.
