Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Anyone who has ever observed a horse dragon knows all to well that you don't bother the creatures when they are in a temper; the shrill screams and furious kicks of one of these beasts are enough to send shudders through the most steadfast of trainers. Add in the fact that this creature's mother was a hellfire, and you have a creature that is positively monstrous--while most of his kind will merely chase after humans until they leave their territory, he will pursue anyone who disturbs him until he can corner and kill them, beating at them with steel hooves and biting with wicked jaws until his victim is dead, at which point he feeds. Needless to say, nobody goes near his home range anymore, and even other dragons are wary when they must cross through his lands.
