Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Dawnscale personality is a radiant as he looks. Dawnscale, despite his arrogant looks, once helped save an egg from certain destruction, and tore his left wing in the process. Snowscale healed it, but he still cannot fly long distances in short periods of time. He is very devoted to the females, and is hoping one will hatch and strike his fancy and become his livelong mate. He already has his lifelong friend, Desertscale. They are rally seen without each other. And since they are both drakes, they agree in many things.

Dawnscale's egg was found in a hatchery by Warrior. Eggs by the millions were lined up on the shelves, waiting for someone to take them home and incubate them. Dawnscale's egg was covered in grime, and since only the pretty ones find homes, his egg was left untouched. When Warrior saw a faint gleam of color under a bit of grime, she wiped it away and was surprised to find a Dawn egg underneath. She concluded that the egg had been accidentally covered in grime.
