Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Merydin, a loyal member of Tiny Sentinel of the Clouds clan, is fast and furious. Logical and sprightly, he and his love Parva Stella are the two "fighting" dragons of the clan. Tiny Sentinel is the leader, and Morgana the Black deputy. Merydin works with his clan to fight and hunt, and the group is not to be underestimated when it comes to anything.
