Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zimdus Swift Wing, one of the elite hunters of the Iron Roar Clan, is a Whiptail dragon. Together with his mate Ernaya Swift Wing, they rule the Swift Wing Hunters. In his hatchling years, he was sent to become the apprentice of one of the clan's founder Kabaya Flying Hoof. With all of the knowledge that his teacher told him, Zimdus was able to become a captain of the clan's army. Zimdus is a bright dragon with several strategies in his claws should the time for retreat or offensive arise.
