Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Laetus Caelum is the keeper of the Sunrise. She is looked up to by the other dragons in the kingdom she lives in, and the young hatchlings adore her; as she is an elder, she has countless stories to tell. She works alongside the other Keepers as well as the king and queen of the kingdom to bring harmony to the land.

Laetus Caelum is a kind soul, but her age brought with it a stubborn temper. She is often found sitting on the pink clouds of the sunrise, looking down upon the other dragons that reside below her. But when she is not in one of her moods, she can be spotted playing with the hatchlings of the kingdom, and telling them stories of long, long ago, when she helped to create the kingdom that she calls home.
