Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Citrient PrimaCast (after the gemstone: Citrine) arrived into the clan cave as the 224th dragon, kept hidden by The Clan Mother to all except a few chosen confidants. He is regal and majestic, with an air of humble pride and nobility, and is extremely devoted to the betterment of all the clan dragons. He grew strong and fast as if pushed by some unseen force to join the ranks of the Clan Mystal adults. It did not take long for word of him to spread far and wide, and still, to this day, many consider his inclusion into the clan a pinnacle of its history. He is generous and kind, and unlike others of his kind, does not seem to hide or worry that humans may try to cause him harm. Instead, he regularly gifts them with tokens of his affection and can often be seen plucking a scale from his chest to give to someone in need. As a result of this behavior, the villages and towns nearby have begun to prosper, bringing a notoriety to the Mystal Clan that surpasses any before.
