Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Salegg is a dishonest, deceitful dragon who could care less about right and wrong. She feels that she has to lie, cheat, and steal to get on with her everyday life. Whatever she wants, she takes, and any time something goes missing, all fingers are pointed straight at this unscrupulous dragon. Double dealing is the name of her game; so, naturally, she is quite lonely. Her only company is her "friend" Khama, who is a spoilt Black dragon as well. At every battle the Towa clan fights in, Salegg can be seen after the fight plundering any weapons and valuables off of enemy dragons, and she will sometimes even steal from the bodies of her own. The noir of her scales reaches to the deepest depths of her heart.
