Rosebud Dragons are a fun and social breed found most often in the spring. The petal-like feathers that grow on their sides spread their sweet and floral scent. Although they have poor eyesight, they have ribbon-like extensions that extend their olfactory abilities to help create a map of the area around them. When flying, Rosebud dragons tend to hover, using their wings to fan their scent throughout the air. A widespread breed, they go to great effort to visit as many flowery fields as possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Katrina is a Rosebud Dragon. She loves to stop and smell the flowers and attracts all manner of creatures who come to admire her. The first hatched of the Rosebud twins, Katrina has always received the most attention. In the beginning, this annoyed her sister, Irene. Katrina has always been a shining star and is the most beautiful dragon in the clan. She has taken Roran, the youngest of the Sweetling dragons, as her mate. Only he had the power and goodness of heart to woo her. The bond is true for certain as the Heartseekers were bud hatchlings when this happened. Katrina is loyal to Roran, but that does not stop her from flirting with the most powerful males in the clan. Every time she thinks of going to another male, Roran comes and reminds her of his goodness. His pure heart attracts her every time and renews her certainty in their partnership.
