Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s brightly colored and chirps quite often.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

When this little pink princess learnt that soon, there would be no more dragons like her born, she asked her keeper to cast a spell to ensure she never aged.  She wanted there to always be young, bright pink dragons in the world.  As her keeper loved her, she did as she asked, and now the cave will always be blessed with her youthful exuberance.
