Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. The name "Mother Gia" does not refer to parentage in this case. Rather, it is an honorary term given to her by her clan, meaning "Mother of the Earth," though she cannot of course claim to have created the Earth. The name was granted to her because she is prized among her fellows for her seemingly inbred wisdom and kindness, which has led her to become one of the clan's leaders. Her specialty is in deciding matters of justice, for she is known to be fair and even forgiving, if the rule breakers prove themselves worthy of it.
