Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Raikira is a family-oriented dragon. She loves her job as the caregiver of eggs and hatchlings. Just like any typical Guardian dragon, she makes it her duty to protect nests and hatchlings. To Raikira, her tail is her best quality because it's used as a weapon and a shield. In return for her efforts, the parents of the eggs or hatchlings give her a portion of food they bring home, which she happily accepts.

When she's on duty with caring for nests, Raikira often tells jokes and stories to the eggs and hatchlings. When someone sees her doing either of those with the eggs, they often look at her like she's gone insane--which wouldn't be a surprise to anyone if she's actually lost a bit of her sanity. She's well-loved regardless and very rarely does she get mad or even make any violent attempts. Whatever violence she gets herself into is for the sake of future generations to come. She takes her job very seriously and she does whatever it takes to prove it.
