Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The end result of a tryst of opposites, this forever young child of a warrior and a philosopher spends its time sporting at swordplay and wordplay alike. His wise father, unwilling for another of his children to draw the blood of others whispered the spell over him as he slept still wet from the shell.

Shadows doesn't mind it eternal youth but it does long in vain for wings to join the other hatchlings and youthlings in the skies.
