Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kataroa and her friend and unknown cousin, Altrean, are the closest dragons within the clan. They do anything as long as they are near each other. They are given nicknames, but the most famous is called the Murder Royals. The reason for this is that for one, they are both related to clan leader Night Artemis and the other reason is they enjoy murdering rival dragons. Kataroa's most remembered escape was when she herself managed to mortally wound Thunder's Darkness.

Altrean was knocked out cold and Akurah was surround with at least few dozen rival dragons led by Thunder. She somehow defeated them all, but her memory is fuzzy on what happened. Altrean woke up to a bloody massacre and a crying Kataroa. He managed to comfort her, but Altrean is still curious on what happened that short time he was outcold.

Kataroa is a smart Black dragon with decently strong magic. Since fighting is not her forte, Kataroa stays with the three shamans and reads whatever scrolls they have at the time.
