White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lateon has had a long heritage coming from two large dragon families. He is the Eighth dragon owned by Eric, who seldom rides on Lateon, but is more protective of him rather than being protected by the dragon. Because of how his master treats him, Lateon tries very hard to start standing up for himself, and although he is overshadowed by some of the other older dragons, he is still respected just as much and is often just as protective of Eric.

Although he may be a bit of a burden in fighting, he is a master of healing, and has just as much a mastery of fighting, yet he chooses not to fight because of his nature as a pacifist.
