Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Illum Script is a dragon that has somehow established himself as the leader of the Beroz family of dragons he belongs to. Despite being young compared to the others, his skills, magic and wisdom have elevated him to be respected in the eyes of his clan, however, he tends to shirk his duties, allocating them to the older members of the Family and preferring to pursue more lonely activities. He's relatively lazy, tending to spend long hours by himself reading and pursuing knowledge in the comfort of his own nest, though he does leave from time to time. Despite his more reserved, antisocial, and introverted exterior he does seem to be attached to one dragon. He spends his nights in the company of the dragon Geist Licht, who he is particularly friendly with. He seems to simply tune out the chatty dragon when it becomes too much, using the light the dragon produces to read and write.
