Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spelldawn is respectful, but not a very friendly dragon. He was made fun of when he was a hatchling because of his strange eyes. He envied his fellow hatchlings in the caretakers cave, because they had friends or talents, and it was well-known that the winter dragon Le feu de Glace was courting a pretty purple hatchling in the female enclosure. Instead of being social, Spelldawn spent his days honing his magic skills, and quickly became very powerful. He always retained a courteous respect toward his comrades in the hopes that they would one day accept him, but only Stallionstar dared to speak to the outcast.

The elders picked up on his skills when he matured, and Spelldawn was quickly whisked away to a secluded forest that he found much to his liking. In return, he accompanies all hunting parties during food shortages, and kills any suitable animal that is pointed out to him. He is very happy being alone, and has no plans to change that.
