Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It always seems to be picking over its scales.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Beau isn't quite as manic about pulling off soiled scales as adult Lumina dragons are. It still dislikes getting dirty, and will go for a very long swim in a nearby pond if its body becomes soiled. Beau is very curious and naive, often getting into trouble without paying any heed to the consequences that would follow. It is a sweet and friendly hatchling who is thrilled at the prospect of going on adventures with the adult dragons.
