Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

She makes sure every dragon has a home to live in with its kin, always burrowing into the ground to make new caves. She currently has the biggest cave, coated with rainbows of different colored crystals, dripping with fresh water and glowing with nature, but filled with the loneliness of no one to share it with. she waits for a mate, always going out in the day to show her true colors, always watching the other dragons playing with their kin and mates. hopefully one day she will find a mate of her own.
