And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Eivind is a shy and easily frightened little dragon. She tries not to seem that way, playing with the other hatchings and extending her wings as much as she can to look bigger and scarier. In her owner's opinion it just serves to make her cuter and want to cuddle her. Although she does get a bit sad at times watching her younger siblings grow up and mature, Eivind does her best to not let it get to her. Eivind likes being small enough for Redmoonlight009 to carry her, so its a plus the others don't have; which she likes a lot.
