Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Scrap started helping library patrons when she was still a little scrap of a hatchling. She got her nickname of "Scrap" around the same time and has never been able to convince anyone to call her anything else, even now that she's fully grown and a perfectly respectable size for her breed. Scrap mostly works in the children's section of the library, both because she likes children (when they aren't trying to touch her with sticky fingers) and because she hopes one of them will come up with a clever new nickname for her.
