It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The son of two purple dragons from a faraway clan, Pytroskii Whiskermon III is a very educated dragon who serves as that clan's ambassador to TheCommonArmies. Although he is technically one of TheCommonArmies' dragons, he doesn't approve of their mass breedings and their practice of 'trolling' the abandoned pile by spamming common eggs into there to lock up the biomes. Pytroskii generally stays away from all of the other dragons and only talks to Uogie the Seasonal, a summer seasonal who is in charge of the cave, and Ninemular JerikhovichMagi II, the cruel and icy magi dragon who is second-in-command. His sadness is that he cannot visit his parent's clan, and he only receives news from little parchments Ninemular teleports in. It is said that his parent's clan is a place where all dragons are named and receive descriptions, unlike his clan, where most dragons remain unnamed, unloved, and are forced to breed every week (fortunately Pytroskii is exempt from these mass-mating ceremonies).
