Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys running through a nearby pumpkin patch.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

"Doubsi, dabsi, doomperly loo Haaaa.... Pumpreloo, pump au dozy doo!" said the hatchling as loud as it could repeating itself several times. The strange frog-like creature sat on a patch of humongous mushrooms while eating pieces of a pumpkin pie. Every so often it would stop and sing it's little song. It looked like it was waiting for something or someone. Its tiny, green eyes were full of sparkle and one couldn't call it anything other than cute as it sat there with its round belly turning it's head from one side to the other noming on it's pie. Wonder what it's waiting for...
